Conference Center Design

By definition and design, a conference center should be a comprehensive facility dedicated to facilitating business meetings, planning sessions, day retreats, luncheons, and receptions. Normally, business firms opt for conference centers when their meeting requirements exceed their office space.

Designing a conference center to make it an ideal setting for corporate meetings or special events is not an easy task. A successful conference center design depends on two key elements such as streamlining the business meeting and aesthetic and decorative element. Conference centers should be designed according to the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) standards. They should be designed to accommodate small to large size meetings.

Conference centers dedicated to provide a productive environment for smaller meetings should provide a meeting space to accommodate 25 to 75 people. Conference center would take 700 to 800 square feet of flat space for accommodating a maximum of 75 people. For accommodating more guests, meeting space may extend over an area of 20,000 square feet.

Typically, a conference center should provide lobby, guest rooms, meeting rooms, and conference services. Guest rooms of a conference center should have desks, wireless high-speed internet access, and appropriate lighting and seating.

To create the best meeting experience, conference rooms must be equipped with audio/visual equipments such as LCD projector, DVD player, big screen TV / VCRs, microphones, overhead projectors, slide projectors, and much more. Fax machines, printers, scanners, wireless high-speed internet access, multiple phone lines, and copy machines are also provided as meeting facilities.

For a successful conference facility, center should be furnished with ergonomic chairs, tables, appropriate lighting and acoustics, etc. According to IACC standards, conference centers should provide professional support services and specialized staff to provide assistance in meeting planning and to help customers to realize the objectives of the meeting. Leisure facilities such as swimming pools, bars, and restaurants; dining facilities and parking facilities are also regarded as the essential elements for a successful conference center design.

Tattoos – Unique Areas of the Body to Get Tattooed

Thinking about getting a tattoo involves not only design decisions, but placement decisions. Where to put a tattoo can be just as important as what tattoo to get. But what if you don’t want to put your tattoo in the usual places that everyone else gets inked, such as the upper arm, forearm, ankle, lower back, and so forth?

Instead, consider these unique places to get your tattoo:

1. Feet.

Feet are a great place to get inked You usually see tattoos on the ankles or calves, but rarely do you see feet tattoos. This can be a great option for one wanting to get inked in a unique lower limb area other than the usual spots. Be aware though that feet tattoos can be a bit more painful depending on exactly where they are placed due to the many nerve endings in the feet.

2. Obliques.

The obliques are the side stomach area. This area provides plenty of space for large designs that can extend to the back or to the front of the stomach. This can be a great alternative to the usual lower back placement which is very common for tattoo placement. If your looking for a great midsection area for placement, consider the obliques.

3. Inner Thigh.

The inner thigh provides lots of space for a great design. The major advantage I find with inner thigh ink, is that you can both keep it private, and you can enjoy and view your ink very easily, unlike other areas.

Inner thigh ink isn’t a very “popular” choice, mainly because individuals can’t “show off” their tattoo. But for those who could care less about showing off their ink, and their tattoo represents something more private, the inner thigh is an excellent area to consider.

Marketing Accounting Services To Auto Body Shops

Accountants are discovering that specialized industry knowledge is necessary for marketing services to niche industries. Accounting firms have discovered that each industry they serve has it’s own unique set of operating systems and procures, and what may be the norm in one industry may not be appropriate for another. In fact, the IRS has identified over 100 different industries and niches with unique operating characteristics.

The business and operational principles of an auto body shop are different from your typical retail or manufacturing business.

Today’s auto body shop and collision repair center require the use of large and complex estimating databases, covering every aspect of estimating complete and accurate labor times and labor notes for the thousands of operations performed on existing and newly introduced vehicle models. The use of these databases is a difficult and ongoing challenge in that only a very small fraction of the labor values within these products are based on actual physical time studies.

All “Database Information Providers” utilize a variety of methodologies to develop the labor values in their products, that can at times result in information that does not accurately reflect the real world labor requirements of a repair operation which in turn can hinder the ability of an average estimator to consistently produce accurate repair estimates or “blueprints” that match the actual repair process.

Knowing how the business and operational principles of an auto body shop are different from your typical retail or manufacturing business enhances an accounting practitioners ability to best serve his or her clients.

There are a variety of resources available to help accountants develop the knowledge needed to market their services to the industry. Among them is the Society of Collision Repair Specialists, SCRS, which was founded in Riverside, Missouri in 1982 to promote, support and encourage exemplary businesses committed to the future of the collision repair industry, provide the visibility and leadership needed to raise the professional image of the industry and advance the business conditions of the industry and are a key resource for accountants.

Another resource is a trade periodical, the Automobile Body Repair News.

Automotive Body Repair News is a monthly trade publication serving the collision repair industry. The editorial content is aimed primarily at the collision repair shop owner and his or her technicians. ABRN primarily provides news, product and technical service information on a variety of collision repair topics.

This technical information takes several forms within the magazine, including features and technical departments such as Tech Tips and Paint Shop. In addition, ABRN offers the reader industry news, environmental news and business management information, and most recently, new technology information. The management information presented stresses practical examples and real-world situations the reader can use to improve his or her business management skills.

No matter which trade magazine you subscribe to, or what association or society you become associated with, this involvement is mandatory to your success in marketing to the niche. Participation in an association or society will also gain you access to the membership lists for marketing, while trade magazines and periodicals will usually make their subscriber lists available for rental. Another good way to target members of the industry.

Along the way, you will want to develop specific marketing tools, specifically describing your expertise in the field, plus you’ll need to develop a library of industry specific statistics and details including the methods used by industry members to manipulate their income. Knowing this industry “insider” information is absolutely critical to developing a strong relationship with prospects in the industry.

Recognizing the opportunity with the superior export of Olive Oil not only in the gourmet food and restaurant business, Patsalis and Spina recognized the benefits of utilizing extra virgin olive oil to make a luxurious skin and body care product. By combining Patsalis’ natural Grecian extra virgin olive oil with Spinas fine quality Italian taste, the two created an exclusive line of Grecian Oil Body Care.

Our objective is to become a company leader by producing high quality olive oil skin care products and capture the essence of an ancient formula using premium all natural Grecian extra virgin olive oil and transforming it into a modern, luxurious and naturally balanced body care. Stephanie Patsalis (Co-Founder, Grecian Oil)

Grecian Oil will hit numerous platforms including the celebrity circuit. Academy Award Winning Actress, Olympia Dukakis tried Grecian Oil and heres what she had to say about it: I Love It

Made with premium Grecian extra virgin olive oil that is minimally processed for maximum benefits. Grecian Oil represents pure, natural and high quality products stemming from old traditions known for centuries with the Greeks making the skin smooth and radiant, which is taking womens beauty and body care to another level. It is made with premium Grecian extra virgin olive oil that is minimally processed for maximum benefits. Extra virgin olive oil is made from the first pressing of olives to achieve the maximum levels of beneficial polyphenol antioxidants.

The olives used when creating Grecian Oil products are carefully selected and hand picked. They are then cleaned with pure water before being kneaded and cold pressed. Oil is extracted from hand-selected olives through the pressure. The basic properties and benefits of the premium olives are retained, resulting in a product that is pure and natural.

Olive oil has been regarded for centuries as beautifying oil. Ancient Greek and Roman civilizations considered it a gift from the gods due to its amazing results achieving and maintaining beautiful, radiant skin. The health benefits of consuming olive oil are substantial. History indicates that the actual initial use of olive oil was for the body. Ancient Greeks regarded olive oil as their beauty oil and bathing in the oil was common. The Greek physician Hippocrates, known as the Father of Medicine, referred to olive oil as the the Great Therapeutic.

Olives provide beneficial antioxidants, including vitamins B, A, and E, to repair and renew skin. Vitamin A derivatives are highly regarded as an anti-ager because they exfoliate, increase cell turnover and promote collagen growth. Antioxidants stimulate cells to achieve and maintain softer, smoother, more radiant skin. Squalene, a component of olive oil regarded as an excellent emollient and antioxidant makes Grecian Oil a natural age-defier.

Grecian Oil is beneficial and appropriate for use on all skin types and it is an effective moisturizer. Overall skin care is achieved with daily application and massaging into skin. Dry, rough or cracked skin areas will benefit from more generous and frequent applications. These products have been dermatologically tested and are hypoallergenic making it suitable for all skin types. Using Grecian Oil daily helps maintain elasticity for a radiant appearance, while softening, moisturizing and rejuvenating your skin.

Grecian Oil has already made it’s way to celebrity events including product placement in the VIP Gift Bags at the December 12, 2011 fundraising event for Three Candles (working title) – a documentary production by Orama Pictures narrated by Olympia Dukakis.
